While we may not have walked a 'mile in your shoes'- we have sat a full day at your desk. There are those meetings; deadlines; messages to return, and no time for a nice lunch! We get it!

250 Years ago, the Earl of Sandwich got it, too! Hungry and too busy to stop for a meal ... he ordered some meat tucked in between two pieces of bread- so he could quickly get back to work. (Folklore has it that he ate with one hand, and wrote with the other!) Oddly enough, he named this lunchtime meal; the Sandwich.

250 years later, SuperSandwich.com has perfected his idea. How? Simple. We make old world sandwiches... and using new world technology; make ordering a great sandwich easy and fast!

Making a delicious sandwich starts with great bread. Every morning our Ciabatta rolls are delivered warm from the ovens at Billy's Bakery in Fairfield. (Voted the best bread in Connecticut six consecutive years!) This amazing bread is moist on the inside, and is surrounded by a tasty crunchy crust. It's one terrific piece of bread to start with!

We stack our super sandwiches with the finest meats and cheeses from Boar's Head. Its founder, Frank Brunckhorst, used the best old-world meat curing methods when he began the company over 100 years ago. Today Boar's Head is still family owned- and they still adhere to the very strict high quality standards their founder established more than 100 years ago.

When it comes to finishing our sandwiches; we use only the finest ingredients sold through the Gus Sclafani Corporation. The Sclafani's have been importing only the very BEST products from Italy for over 100 years to share with their customers here in America. Luciano Sclafani is President, and along with his brothers, lives by the same strict principles set up by their grandfather, Gus. Their olive oil is made from fresh picked olives (picked from the tree; and NEVER the ground), then pressed old world style between two cold stones. (In Italy, 'old world' isn't 100 years... - it's 2,000 years!)

So please stop in- grab a piece of our Ciabatta bread... dip it into our Sclafani extra virgin olive oil, and enjoy the same tasty Italian treat that was eaten by Julius Caesar in Rome over 2,000 years ago!
